Ben serves as laboratory manager for Blackburn Consulting. He works with clients to develop testing strategies that give them the right information for their design and construction needs. Ben manages performance of lab tests for geotechnical and construction materials in accordance with ASTM, Caltrans, AMRL, CCRL, USACE, and DSA test standards. He administrates initial and refresher training of lab staff, coordinates lab test schedules and turn-around times, manages lab billings, and oversees the organization and cleanliness of the lab facilities. Along with Blackburn’s Lab Operations Manager, Ben works to maintain lab equipment, quality assurance manuals, and calibration records.
