Rob Pickard is a senior engineering geologist with Blackburn Consulting. He found studying volcanos can be tuff, but he earned a master’s degree in geologic engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno. Rob has more than 17 years of experience in geotechnical/geologic engineering working on a wide variety of projects including pipelines, dams, tanks, highways, and bridges throughout California and particularly in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. His experience includes subsurface investigation, soil, rock and groundwater analysis, excavatability, and slope stability studies.
